Yoga Classes at Creative Wellness

Whether you are an advanced practitioner or just beginning your yoga journey we have a class that is right for you.  Check out our class descriptions below and click on any class title to access our full class schedule.

All Levels Yoga

All levels is a  hatha  class appropriate for all levels. After centering the mind and warming up the body we will move mindfully through a traditional hatha yoga sequence: sun salutations, standing and balancing poses, forward folds, backbends, twists and inversions. With three primary goals: Physical Vibrancy, Emotional Balance and Metal Clarity, this class will serve as a foundation for the discovery of deep peace and true personal power that lies beneath the activity of the mind. All levels welcome.

Dharma Yoga

Dharma Yoga is a graceful yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mittra’s over 60 years of practice. It is a system of classical Hatha-Raja Yoga. A devotional practice that emphasizes good health, a clear mind and a kind heart. The method weaves together many teachings in order to bring all students closer to the goal of Self-realization. Dharma Yoga is rooted in ahimsa, compassion, so it suitable for all levels and conditions. In a Dharma class, you will find a complete practice incorporating chanting, movement, breath work, meditation, deep relaxation and a safe space to let go.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is a slow-paced, relaxing form of yoga. It provides a beautiful way to softly wake the body up and stretch yourself out. Gentle yoga because of its innate gentle nature, is perfect for those who cannot meet the demands of a physically straining exercise due to age, recovery from injuries or surgery. This practice combines physical postures (asanas) with guidance of an experienced teacher, breathing techniques (pranayama) and deep relaxation to help soften muscles and calm the mind. Studies have proven beneficial for many health concerns, including pain, reducing the heart rate and blood pressure, as well as relieving anxiety and depression. This class is geared toward the student who wishes to move at a slower pace.

Heated Vinyasa

Heated Vinyasa is a faster paced class that uses movement matched with the breath. The room is heated to about 85 degrees in order to allow your muscles to open and stretch more deeply. It is suitable for students of all levels, including beginners. You will leave class feeling strong, energized, cleansed and centered.

Mindful Strength

Mindful Strength is a yoga-based class using body weight and functional movement patterns preparing to begin or compliment an existing yoga practice. Using the yogic philosophy of finding steadiness and ease in every yoga pose. This class is designed to build physical strength to combine with the stretching and flexibility practiced in a typical yoga class.   This class emphasizes on strengthening the muscles for joint support for both lower and upper body, stretching with a focus on mind body connection. 

Prenatal Yoga (6 week course*)

Join Molly McDermott, certified prenatal and postpartum yoga instructor, for a 6 week course to prepare the body and mind for birth. This is a time to nourish and build yourself both physically and emotionally. This course is designed to utilize asanas, meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques to assist in one of the most meaningful experiences of your life, giving birth to your baby! We will also practice asanas to alleviate pregnancy related ailments, specific exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor, sounding to use as a tool while in labor and the most effective positions to promote a smooth and natural birth experience. Time will also be reserved for discussion and questions about what to expect in the labor and birth process, as well as postpartum. Prenatal yoga provides a safe and supportive environment to help prepare moms-to-be, as well as time to connect with your baby on an energetic level.

*This class is offered in 6 week intervals throughout the year but is not a standard weekly class. Please check the class calendar for current availability.


Restorative Yoga is a slow paced and stress-relieving practice. Restorative encompasses long held, static stresses of the deep connective tissues allowing them to be remodeled and the poses typically are supported by a prop usually 5 minutes or more allowing deep relation.  Pull these together and you a blissful experience.  Restorative Yoga gives us permission to rest, permission to slow down and pause from everyday "busy-ness".  Shavasana is the foundation and will enhance deep rest.

Private Individual Yoga Instruction

Individual classes are available with certain instructors.  Currently we offer these with Richard Jason Bruke, Spencer Jones, and  Allison Higgins, .  Please contact the individual instructor to learn more and schedule your session.

Registration for classes and workshops are all handled through the MindBody system so when you click on any button to "View Schedule" or “Sign Up” you will be taken to the MindBody site to register.  If you do not already have an account with MindBody for Creative Wellness you may be asked to select us as the studio you are seeking and asked to create an account. You will then be able to purchase class passes, enroll and pay for workshops, book sessions with our independent providers, even purchase gift certificates. You will also receive appointment and class confirmations, reminders, and receipts this way.  If you are a fan of doing things on the go you can download the MindBody app for your phone or tablet from your appropriate app store.
